In the framework of the project LOCAL4GREEN, the MUSOL foundation (València, Spain - associated partner of the CoM) has elaborated the Handbook "Participatory method-based preparation of local fiscal policies to promote renewable energy sources at a municipal level".

This methodology is being used by the partners of the project (10 partners from 9 Mediterranean countries) to promote local fiscal policies in more than 60 pilot municipalities. So far, more than 90 fiscal policies have been proposed to the local authorities and 8 of them have already approved them. The number of approvals is expected to drastically increase until the end of the year.

If you are interested in learning more about LOCAL4GREEN methodology, the Handbook is available in English, French and Spanish. You can download it from the project website.

The project LOCAL4GREEN is funded by the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the InterregMED 2014-20 programme. The project is led by the Valencia Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
